· Revisit the past places God has been trustworthy in your life.

 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua,”  ~Exodus 17:13-14

God won a great battle for the nation Israel against Amalek that day, with Joshua at the sword and Moses at the helm worshipping God.  And when Moses was too tired to lift his hands to heaven, Aaron and Hur did it for him.  And so God was victorious through their combined obedience.  How has God been victorious in your life?  I am sure other believers were involved in that process as well.  Recount who and what has been used by God for your benefit.

 · Worship God...linger in His presence

 And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.  So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.  ~ Exodus 33:9-11

As you revisit what God has done for you, worship Him!  Give thanks for what you have seen accomplished on the battlefield of your life!  Spend time in His presence, learn to know Him and His character.

 · Believe that God can do all things...then ASK

 Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:  

  “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still,  And the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge  Upon their enemies.     Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel.  ~ Joshua 10:12-14

Joshua has seen God work on His behalf.  He had spent time lingering in the presence of God.  And Joshua knew who to go to when he had a need.  Can you imagine asking God to stop the moving of our celestial system?  That takes courage, some serious nerve (chutzpah)?, and an absolute knowledge of whom he was talking to.  Joshua knew God could deliver what he asked of Him!

 By stopping the earth from revolving around the sun, God temporarily stopped His own laws of gravity.  Amazingly, the earth did not float into the sun, get hit by another planet, or suffer any serious consequences...What a miracle God made for Joshua and Israel when He stopped the earth for a day.  ~ Stephanie Finke,

God held the universe in His hands that day for Joshua.  Without forward motion our planet should have fallen out of the heavens. 

 I am willing to bet that God can handle whatever comes our way.  As a matter of fact I am willing to bet an eternity on it!
